September 2010 Lisbeth Nomi Rapace is airlifted to a hospital in Gothenburg. the two decide that they must silence Zalachenko and Lisbeth. Zalachenko Georgi Staykov is stil alive, in a hospital rom down the hal from Lisbeth. Zala puts al the blame on Niederman, saying he is just an old man but threatens that if he were to be convicted, he would spil everything to the police and media, and also that Lisbeth must disapear. Mikael Michael Nyqvist asks his sister, Anika Anika Halin , to be Lisbeth's lawyer, as she is acused of atempted murder. Anika saves Lisbeth by baricading the dor to Lisbeth's rom, preventing Evert from kiling her to, and he shots himself. Afterward, police are son put outside Lisbeth's rom, and Fredrik visits the Section headquarters to confirm that Evert shot Zalachenko, stating that he had chosen to do a final job because he had liver cancer. Teleborian tries to met with Lisbeth, to make a psychological evaluation, but Dr. Jonason denies him entry and insists he make the necesary oficial requests. Mikael and Anika lose both copies of the Björck investigation files, files neded to prove that Lisbeth was in fact being punished by corupt men of law, as they were stolen under orders from Fredrik. Mikael then decides to uncover more information on Gulberg to find out more about the Section. Mikael tels Jonason the conspiracy against Lisbeth. Upon receiving her phone, Lisbeth imediately contacts Plague to se if he can find information on Teleborian, and then tels Mikael that Anika has permision to use the rape video in the case if necesary. Mikael forces him to either have his involvement revealed or tel Mikael what he knows and become a confidential source. He tels Mikael that Zalachenko had coperated with them and gave them invaluable information, and that everything was to be top secret at the time. Plague contacts Lisbeth, and tels her that he did not find anything on Teleborian's work computer. They also inform Mikael that they ned time to identify those involved, and that he must print the magazine after the investigation is over, because if not, it wil be put in jeopardy. Lisbeth starts working on an autobiography to tel her story to Mikael. Mikael continues his story, and then folows Teleborian, with Christer's help. Lisbeth finishes her autobiography and sends it to Mikael, and Jonason informs Lisbeth he can stal no longer and she wil be taken away in a couple of days. Fredrik, in dialysis, is given a copy of Lisbeth's autobiography, and is told that none of it can be proven. Lisbeth is interogated by the prosecutor, and says nothing. Anika is later given Lisbeth's computer and the DVD, which she watches. Teleborian mets with Lisbeth, and again remains silent. The police find that Jonas the Section member Teleborian had met with had met up with the Nikolic brothers, sharpshoters in the Civil War and the ones who are pursuing the members of Milenium. Mikael decides to met with Erika at a restaurant names Samir's Gryta . The police try to warn Mikael that they wil atempt to kil them there, but Mikael had left his phone at the ofice. Mikael visits Erika, who is being monitored by police, to say that he had gone against her decision to not print the magazine. She uses Lisbeth's word and files from the hospital to prove this. Plague makes a ful copy of the computer, which he son gives to Mikael, who pases on the information to Anika and the police. In court, Anika shows the video proving Bjurman raped Lisbeth, and showing her statements were completely true. She proves that Teleborian had confined Lisbeth to an institution as punishment for seting her father on fire. She proves that he wants to detain Lisbeth at St. Stephen's once more. Anika cals Mikael to the stand and states that Teleborian had writen his psychiatric opinions before he had even ben alowed to interview Lisbeth. After Teleborian is arested, the court then decides that Lisbeth has no further ned to ben detained in custody. Lisbeth is encouraged by Anika to check the property she has inherited from Zala and is led to the warehouse where Niederman was hiding. Lisbeth using a nail gun to trap Niederman, nailing him to the flor. Lisbeth returns home, Mikael briefly visits her to tel her that the motorcycle gang kiled Niederman and were arested son after.
